【摘要】:Coversautomaticicemakersdesignedforconnectiontoalternating-currentcircuitsratednotmorethan600volts.Theserequirementsapplytounitaryandremoteicemakers.Forthepurposeofthisstandard,anicemakerincludesameansforautomaticallymanufacturingandharvestingiceincube,flake,orotherreadilyusableform,withorwithoutprovisionforstorageormeansofdispensingice.Self-containedicemakerscoveredbytheserequirementsemployhermeticrefrigerantmotor-compressorsandair-orwater-cooledcondensers.Theserequirementsdonotapplytoicemakersofthetraytype,icevendingmachines,ortoicemakersandicemakerkitsusedinhouseholdrefrigeratorsandfreezers.RequirementsfortheinstallationoficemakersareincludedintheNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,andtheSafetyCodeforMechanicalRefrigeration,ASHRAE15.
